2017 Western Mass Baseball Hall of Fame Banquet

SPRINGFIELD - Join us for a celebration of the best of the Western Mass Baseball community on January 26th, 2017 at La Quinta Inn & Suites at 100 Congress Street in Springfield. Social hour will begin at 6pm with the official ceremony kicking off at 7pm.

This year's class will be headlined by keynote speakter Tom Grieve of Pittsfield - longtime Major League player, General Manager and voice of the Texas Rangers. Joining him in the class of 207 will be:

Bill Jo Robidoux (Ware) - Former Major Leaguer w. the Milwaukee Brewers

Ed Hurley (Holyoke) - American League Umpire from 1947-1965

Dick Bergquist (Orange) - Served as the head coach of the University of Massachusetts baseball team from 1967-1987

Tom Suchanek (Greenfield) - Head coach of Greenfield High School for 45 years. Also pitched for the University of Vermont and in the Houston Astros organization

Dan Welch (Westfield) - 20 years of voluntary service to the community, peaking with hosting the Babe Ruth World Series this past year

Charles "Bud" Hagan - Served 34 years at Westfield State University as a coach and administrator, also spent three seasons in the Brooklyn Dodgers organization. 

Springfield Tech teams 1968-1970 - A Western Mass record 41-game winning streak capped by three championships that resulted in a 55-5 record. 

Tickets for the event are as follows:

$45 - single seat

$425 - table of ten

Tickets will be held at will call at the event and can be claimed there.
